Artists, Writers, and Composers!

The MU Collaborative Arts Initiative is a program sponsored by Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, Sigma Alpha Iota, and Society of Composers, Inc. designed to bring together artists from different disciplines in order to create new works. Nine artists will be selected as finalists and then meet to form teams of three, each consisting of a visual artist, a composer, and a writer. Each team will then collaborate, creating three different but related works. The nine new creations will be premiered in a recital on April 4, 2014 and will be judged by a panel representative of the three departments.

In addition to a premiere of the works, cash prizes will be given for first, second and third place teams.
